Southwest region of Sri Lanka has some of the most picturesque beaches in the whole of Asia. Crystal clear, blue-green waters differentiate these beaches from the rest of the busy and crowded beaches of Sri Lanka.

Despite being known for its beaches, this region also holds some landmarks such as the Dutch Fort in Galle. This UNESCO recognized site dates back to the 16th century and sits in the center of Galle town. This tour also covers the museum of wooden masks in Ambalangoda and the moonstone mines in Meetiyagoda which is known for its precious stones.

This region is sprinkled with a generous serving of simply beautiful and relaxing hotels. There are also homestays for fixed budgets and for the real Lankan-experience. If you are feeling that wanderlust, you could also rent a scooter or even a tuk-tuk to get around!

ITINERARY

Day 1 - Arrival

On arrival you would be greeted by an English speaking guide at the airport itself, from where you’d be transferred to a luxurious hotel in Negombo of your liking. You can spend the day in leisure, exploring or resting at an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 2 - Bentota Breeze

Enjoy a hefty breakfast at the hotel, after which you can proceed to the long, broad, sandy beaches of Bentota in down south. Check in to the hotel of your choosing and spend the day at leisure exploring the beauty of the golden beaches with an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 3 - Boat Trip

After a local or continental breakfast, you can enjoy the rest of your day with boat rides, exhilarating wind surfing and many other water sports to your liking. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4 - Masks and Moonstones

After enjoying breakfast you will be transferred to the popular coasts of Hikkaduwa, where you’d visit the infamous museum of wooden masks in Ambalangoda and the moonstone mines in Meetiyagoda famous for its precious stones and gems en route. Check in to the hotel if your preference and spend the rest of the day at leisure or enjoying exciting activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, and the glass-bottom boat riding to view the beautiful corals and fish. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5 - Let's Galle!

After a delicious breakfast spread proceed to Mirissa, visiting the architecturally stunning old Dutch Fortress in Galle en route. Check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure or resting. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6 - Whales and Dolphins

After an early scrumptious breakfast set off to the exciting activity of whale watching. You will have an incredible opportunity to view the largest marine animals, The Blue whale and the Dolphins. Spend the afternoon at leisure at your will and then return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
